Senator Marvin Blyden wants the public to know that this weekend is its final opportunity to donate items for the Haiti Relief efforts that his office, local civic organizations and churches in our area have been working on over the past weeks.
Senator Marvin Blyden wants the public to know that this weekend is its final opportunity to donate items for the Haiti Relief efforts that his office, local civic organizations and churches in our area have been working on over the past weeks.
Senator Blyden says they are still in need of water, non-perishable foods, baby items such as diapers, good clean clothing and personal care items such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, sanitary napkins. If you would like to donate items for the Haiti relief, please bring your items boxed and unsealed to the Crowley trailer in the parking lot of the Tutu Park Mall no later than Sunday, October 30th between 10am to 4pm.
Senator Blyden stated there will be stations at both Pueblo supermarkets and at the trailer in the parking lot of the Tutu Park Mall to receive your items. Restricted items such as bleach, fuel, medicine, medical supplies and the counter remedies such as cough syrup and aspirin will not be accepted.
The Senator thanks the people of the Virgin Islands, St. Thomas St. John Fellowship of Ministries, Caribbean Covenant Ministries, the Haitian Association, Virgin Islands Clergy Peace Coalition, CAPA, Crowley Caribbean Services, Tutu Park Mall, Sleepy’s Trucking and many others for coming together and demonstrating selfless love for our brothers and sisters in Haiti during such an unfortunate time, and for making this relief effort a great success.
