Conger Eels: Brown Garden Eel – Heteroconger longissimus. Colonies with dozens to thousands of individuals inhabit sand flats with nearby reefs, depth 15 feet to over 200. Adults from 8 to 15 inches and about as wide around as a pencil. Found throughout V.I. waters.
